Leon S.
Private tutor in Boston, MA
Education
University of Michigan class of 2017 graduate. I was a PPE Major (Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics) with a focus in Economics and Political Theory. I also received a minor in Computer Science. Outside of those I took math through Calc 2, physics, and quite a bit of German. My experience in Computer Programming is strongest in C++, but I've learned enough Python, C, and Java to capably tutor beginner level students.
Experience
I scored a 177 on my LSAT last June, and a 35 on my ACT. I've been a part time tutor for my entire college career. As a freshman I tutored kids who were still at my high school (Pioneer), and then as I got older I tutored younger UM students - mostly friends of friends - and younger members of campus communities I was a part of. Last year I taught a credited Computer Science class as a CR for a high school student. I've always enjoyed tutoring (as far as work goes). I think this is because I'm interested in all the subjects I'm tutoring, and I find passing down the type of 'aha' moments that I remember having when learning these materials very rewarding.

Hobbies
I'm currently taking a year off before attending law school (in the process of applying currently). At the moment I'm interning part time for a state senator and tutoring to make some money on the side. In the winter I'm planning on going down to Central/South America to learn Spanish and see a new part of the world. Outside of work I'm a big fan of playing basketball, watching football, hiking, and playing chess.
