ExperienceI was a hard-working student, but had many barriers to learning. Reading comprehension and math were challenges I faced, but I overcame many of these with the help of great teachers and tutors. I've been a tutor now for over six years, working in academic areas such as math, English, reading, writing, literature, grammar, study skills, biochemistry, science, and organic chemistry. Building on my own experience, I am patient, understanding, and kind. I take all the time needed to get the student to understand the work. School does not come naturally to all students. I can help with any challenge and look forward to it.Originally from Denver, Colorado, I am now based in Waltham, Massachusetts and a junior at Brandeis University. I study biology and public health there and hope to go on to medical school after college. My goal is to become an OB/GYN. I am a perfect example of someone who was challenged by school work, but did not give up. With lots of hard work and collaboration with tutors and teachers, you can do as well as I did. When not working or challenging myself, I play the piano, cook, exercise, hike, and do anything outdoors.
