Experience
I'm a CRLA Certified Level III tutor with experience working with middle school, high school, and college students. I love the challenges and rewards of teaching. My specialty is critical reading and writing skills. I've tutored ESL and learning disabled students and developed writing curricula. For the last five years I've worked part time correcting SAT prep essays. My own SAT reading and writing scores were 800 and 750, and I scored highly on several other tests as well. I understand the highly reductive nature of standardized tests and the difficulties they can present to students, and have the skills to prepare many different types of learners for these tests.
