I also have a BA in mathematics and comparative literature from New York University. I have worked extensively as a private tutor over the last eight years. I primarily work with middle school and high school students, helping them write A+ essays for English and History classes, as well as perform well on math tests. I also specialize in college applications and have helped several high school seniors enter Ivy League universities. I help with application essays, as well as the SAT and ACT. I also help college students with essays and preparation for the GRE. Finally, I am fluent in French and have tutored middle-school and high-school students in the language. I always tailor my tutoring approach to the needs of my students, challenging them while also ensuring that they enjoy learning. I strive to create an enthusiastic and motivating environment for the students I mentor, in which they feel free to ask questions, learn from mistakes and make constant progress. I believe that students learn best when they are both challenged and given ample support for completing their assignments. Hobbies
I enjoy and excel at both creative and analytical thinking. This is why I hold degrees in mathematics as well as comparative literature and anthropology. My hobbies and interests include creative writing, photography, dance and playing the piano. Most of all, I am a deeply curious person and excel at awakening curiosity in my students.
