Private tutor in Boston, MA

Education

I am an undergraduate Psychology major with a 3.5 GPA at Boston University, heading into my senior year.

Experience

I've tutored since high school, in ages ranging from 9 to 16, in all of the subjexts listed above. My AP scores: US History-4, Spanish Language and Literature-4, English Language-5, English Literature-4, European History-5, Biology-4. SAT: 2150. ACT: 32. I love tutoring because I understand the learning process so thoroughly-I often had tutors in high school. It is a great opportunity to tailor learning to an individual need, and get to know a student really well. I'm also the recipient of a Dean's Scholarship at university, one based on academic merit. I'm also a researcher in the social sciences.

Hobbies

I'm often accused of being a kid at heart, and I think that description fits me well. I was a really serious student in high school, and I still am, but I appreciate the opportunity for levity when it arises. I am very patient as long as my student is trying. I love feminism, activism, and community organizing, and I'm an active writer, reader, and nerd for Star Trek and Glee.
