As a current research assistant in the psychology department of BU and an experienced tutor serving a multitude of ages and needs from preschool-aged children through to late adulthood, I am enthusiastic about sharing my love of English and the social sciences. I am passionate about teaching excellence in reading comprehension, study skills, psychological theory and research, laboratory and research skills, and a diverse array of writing topics such as: scientific writing, grammar, creative writing, college application essays, and course writing across all disciplines. I place a high value on employing educational psychology research and theory in my work, particularly around the idea of multiple intelligences and catering to individual student learning styles. I grew up in the Boston area and have lived here most of my life. I am currently pursuing a career and further education in psychology research and practice. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family in the Boston area, going to museums, practicing yoga, reading, writing, and going to poetry performances. I also greatly value time in nature such as hiking, swimming, and camping!
