Education
I graduated Azusa Pacific University, a small liberal arts college, in Southern California. I am a graduate as of 2015 with a major in Sociology and a minor in Visual Arts. (GPA 3.6) I stayed involved with clubs including the on-campus LGBT community. I also participated in two off-campus study programs, one of which took me to the heart of LA, and the other to the highest tel at an archeological dig in Israel.
Experience
I worked with one on one with 10th grade Math and English students preparing for their state exams (MCAS) for one year through AmeriCorps. I have co-taught an 11th and 12th grade US History course at Phoenix Charter Academy. I enjoy tutoring because I love learning and engaging other students in the excitement and sense of accomplishment it can involve.
