Experience

I have 8 years of teaching experience in both middle and high school History and English with a keen interest in mentoring young men in their social, emotional and ethical development. I also have 5 years of one-on-one tutoring experience in writing, reading comprehension, and leadership skills development. I co-developed and taught a 25-hour leadership curriculum for young men aged 12-21 that taught them the skills and mindsets necessary to find a sense of purpose in their life and make the right choices to find long-term success and wellbeing. All in all, my main focus is on making sure my students think differently about their schoolwork such that they find intrinsic motivation to not only get it done efficiently, but do the work carefully and with a sense of curiosity and interest.

I'm also into good television dramas like Bloodline, Transparent and Togetherness, I really enjoy laughing at standup comedy, and always make sure to reflect on a regular basis about what it means to live a good life.
