This may be because there are a lot of teachers in my family, or because it’s something I’ve been doing for years. Through middle and high school, I was a mentor to younger horse riders who were studying for various USPC certifications or equine nutrition, health, and care. As a member of the National Honor Society, I served as a mentor to other students in my high school. When my friends were struggling in their classes, I would always offer to help them out.
