I am enrolled at Berklee College of Music-Boston, where I study film scoring and music. I am deeply passionate about academics with a particular love for math, English, and history. Much of my tutoring experience has been in history, math, English and test prep for the ACT, SAT, and AP subject tests. I am also knowledgeable in human geography, Mandarin Chinese, and government and politics. When working with students on a one-on-one level, I learn about their personal goals, learning preferences, proficiency, strengths, and weaknesses. I strive to set achievable goals for my students that keep them motivated to learn. When presenting information, I keep it relevant by relating it to one of the student's personal interests or passions. Learning needs to be engaging, creative, and relatable. My goal is to make sure that my students know the subject thoroughly while strengthening their confidence in their ability to perform. I can work with my students to improve their ability to write essays for their SATs or prepare them for their upcoming conversational Mandarin course. Outside of academics, I spend a lot of my free time cycling and skiing. I enjoy computer games, FIFA, and reading Malcolm Gladwell. I lift weights as well.
