Anthony A.
Private tutor in Boston, MA
Education
I hold a Bachelors of Science from Siena College where I graduated cum laude with a 3.6 GPA. I was also an Honors fellow which required completion of an undergraduate thesis. The topic of mine was pathomechanisms and preclinical treatment methods for ALS. I am currently working on my PhD at Boston University in Regenerative Muscle Biology. My lab works to understand disease mechanisms for drug discovery in a childhood form of muscular dystrophy.
Experience
I am a member of the Phi Sigma Biological National Honors Society. As far as teaching is concerned, I have taught many classes here including Muscle biology, Gross Human Anatomy, Neuroanatomy, Cardiac/Pulmonary physiology, with many years of training in molecular/cell biology and biochemistry. I also have many years of experience with exercise physiology/weight training as well as sports nutrition.

Hobbies
While most of my time is spent in the lab working on my hands on research, reading papers, preparing manuscripts for publication, or writing grants, in my spare time I am an avid weight lifter (though I'm nowhere near as big as you would think from the amount of time I spend in the gym). I have also developed, oddly enough, a keen interest in Economics as something to study as a respite from life sciences.
