To learn math successfully, it sometimes needs to be presented to students using a different perspective. Working individually with students as a tutor, I can identify how students learn best and focus on that. I like to present problems from different perspectives or relate concepts to things the student knows or enjoys. I had my own trouble learning math is a student, so I know the hard work it takes to overcome learning obstacles on your own. Math can be a difficult topic, and guidance and support can really help students fully understand it so that they have knowledge they can apply now and in the future to be successful. In my free time, I really enjoy sports, particularly hockey and football.
