Michael P.
Private tutor in Boston, MA
Education
Currently, I am a premedical student at the Harvard University Extension School. I took the MCAT last year and will be applying to medical school this June. Before beginning premedical studies, I lived abroad for approximately five years in places such as France, Chile and Taiwan. I am a fluent speaker of French and Spanish. While living in Taiwan, I was awarded a full academic scholarship to National Taiwan Normal University to study Mandarin Chinese--though I don't speak it well enough to teach. I graduated cum laude from Clark University in 2006 with my BA in French Language and Literature.
Experience
I have many years of teaching/tutoring experience. Starting back in college, I taught French at the French Writing Center at Clark University for two years. I then moved abroad and taught English at the University of Versailles in France. Eager to experience a more exotic culture, I moved to Taiwan where I taught English for two and a half years to children and adults of all ages and language abilities. Having done very well in my classes at the Harvard Extension School and the MCAT, I recently began tutoring students in the sciences as well.
