Experience

Presently, I am living in Boston, Massachusetts. I attend Emerson College, where I am working toward a bachelor's degree in media production. My tutoring experience includes helping both college and high school students with writing essays. I also taught English at the local YMCA, and in Puerto Rico and Guatemala. I have also served as an editor for various school papers, so I have extensive experience with teaching English and writing. I especially like helping students with writing, social studies, English and history. I have a strong affinity for writing and reading and the patience to work with struggling students. Because I have dyslexia, it was hard for me to learn to write and read as a young student in school. However, I succeeded despite this problem, and want to share with students how enthusiastic I am about education. I can offer tutoring help in a wide range of subjects, such as ELL/ESL, elementary and middle school math, algebra, geometry, English, writing, reading, biology, statistics, American history, social studies, and related AP- and IB-level courses. In my free time, I like listening to music, reading, writing, soccer, and attending the theater.
