I hold a Masters degree in Linguistics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the Massachusetts General Hospital Institute of Health Profession. I also completed dual licensure in order to become a Reading specialist. I am currently employed as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a public school in Massachusetts.
Experience
I am a dedicated and enthusiastic person, especially about literacy and communication! With my background in Linguistics I bring a unique set of skills to the table to assist in reading development and communication skills. I love working one on one with individuals and am comfortable with a wide variety of approaches to phonics, decoding, fluency, spelling, writing, and communication skills. One on one work is crucial to the development of reading and communication skills and I enjoy building relationships with those that I work with to foster their enthusiasm and desire to learn.
