Experience

I have tutored in Moscow and London on a freelance basis. I have a BA and two MA's, and, as a result, there is very little that I have not taken classes on. Further, my post-secondary education has all been outside the United States, which gives me a unique ability to present a de-centered view of the world to my students. I am fully proficient in Russian, and have lived in Russia for two years. Also, I have given lectures on Russian society, politics and culture at the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.

I am a fully trained English Language Instructor who has worked in Moscow as a full-time teacher and tutor. I have an undergraduate degree in politics and international relations from the University of Aberdeen in Scotland. Also, I have an MA degree from University College London in Economy, State, and Society and a further MA from the Higher School of Economics (Moscow) in International Relations. Further, I have given lectures at the Higher School of Economics on the subject of the politics, sociology and history of Russian society. I am a personable tutor who has tutored in the UK and Russia who always aims to make the subject at hand interesting. To me the subjects I provide tuition on are not merely subjects; rather, they are topics that I have lived. I always like to inspire this in my students as the social sciences can be very dry if they are not brought to life. Finally, if the need were to arise I am also capable of providing tuition in Russian to my students.
