Tufts University - Bachelors, International Relations and Arabic , Harvard University - Current Grad Student, Health Sciences
I received my bachelor's degree from Tufts University. During my time at Harvard I was an assistant at the research lab at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and spent a great deal of time volunteering. One of the volunteer experiences that was most personally valuable was my time with local high school students. I had the opportunity to tutor a wide range of courses and help them prepare for standardized tests.During my time as a tutor I have developed my own teaching style. I utilize a combination of methods, including offering stories and real world examples to make the content more accessible to students. I've found this to be very effective regardless of the student's learning style. Some of the specific courses I am able to assist students with include algebra 1 & 2, Arabic, biology, calculus 1, chemistry, psychology, math, geometry, physics, trigonometry, languages, science, social sciences, AP and IB coursework, macroeconomics, microeconomics, and business. Additionally, I enjoy helping students prepare for standardized tests such as the ACT, SAT, and MCAT.During my free time I enjoy strategy games, reading historical fiction, powerlifting, and exploring the many wonderful ways chocolate can be consumed.
