I am a tutor located in Boston, MA. I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a minor in Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I have over 10 years of experience tutoring learners of many ages and abilities. I have worked as a private tutor in a high school, an after school tutor for elementary students, an ESL tutor for adults, and a long term substitute teacher at a Latin school. I believe that each student learns differently, and it is my job to present the material in a way that caters to each individual's learning style. My love for tutoring started in high school when I began privately tutoring other high school students. I found it to be extremely rewarding, and this started me on my career path in education. In addition to my degree, I am CELTA certified, and hold a preliminary license to teach Math (1st-12th grade). While I am skilled at tutoring a variety of subjects, I most enjoy Algebra, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, Japanese ESL/ELL, SAT Math, ACT Math, ISEE, TOEFL, Languages, English, and test preparation. The one-on-one tutoring environment allows me to build a relationship with each student, specifically focusing on the concepts that the student is struggling with.
