Experience
I scored a 29 on the ACT and a 4 on the AP English Literature Exam. I am interested in tutoring because I am passionate about working with kids and helping them succeed in school. Courses relevant to the subjects I can teach include several foundational college-level literature/writing courses, a college level creative writing course in addition to my extensive background in creative writing from the arts high school I attended, high school and college level courses in American History, a college level political geography course, and several sociology courses at the college level. Fun facts: I was a contestant in the 2003 National Spelling Bee, had some of my plays performed at the International Thespian Festival and the Kennedy Center, and finally I won a silver medal for my creative writing portfolio from the national Scholastic Art and Writing Awards.
