Experience
I earned my bachelor's degree at Oberlin College, and graduated recently with a master's degree in archaeology from Cornell University. As a graduate student, I conducted studies in Italy and Romania, and most recently, in Jordan. My strongest subjects as a tutor are social studies, geography, archaeology, and anthropology, although I can also help students with various levels of Italian and Latin, history, and the social sciences. I am also available to work with students to prepare for standardized and college entrance tests, because it was not too long ago that I took these same tests myself! I am especially interested in helping students prepare for SAT subjects tests. I am also great at general homework support for students who struggle with study skills. Because I was a student until recently, I can empathize with how difficult studying and learning can be, but now that I'm a successful graduate student, I am proof that working hard can help you achieve your goals! When I am not working as a tutor or studying world cultures, I like to stay in shape: I play baseball, go for bike rides, and swim. I am also keeping my mind sharp by taking an Arabic class.
