Experience
I am currently a first grade teacher at The Park School in Brookline. I started my teaching career ten years ago at a charter school on Long Island at the kindergarten level. Here I taught with a strong focus on English as a second language, assisting Spanish students, prominently, to reach English proficiency at grade level. During this time Literacy became my passion and after two years I completed a second Masters Degree in Literacy with a focus on Reading Remediation. Soon after, I moved to South Korea to work at a private school, Chadwick International, where I assisted in building the Literacy curriculum, taught Second Grade, and provided tutoring services. Throughout my journey I have continued to work with students, both in my classroom and in tutoring settings, to not only strengthen but build their confidence in reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. I hope to continue to work with students and collaborate with their current classroom teachers to provide any preparation needed to feel successful this school year.
