While I've been working on my second master's degree in music theory at the New England Conservatory of Music, I have also discovered a love for education. I have been a private tutor for nearly a decade, and I focus on adapting my tutoring style to individual students' personalities. Their learning style is very important for me to figure out so that I can really help them and keep them engaged. I have worked for Tutors for All, where I worked with inner-city youth, and I also teach private music classes at the EKS Music School. I can tutor a variety of subjects, with my focus being high school-level subjects. However, I also tutor elementary and middle school level mathematics, as well as geometry, algebra, Latin, social studies, US and world history, reading comprehension, and essay writing and editing. I love teaching, but in my spare time, I like cooking and baking, tennis, hiking, ultimate Frisbee, table tennis, going to museums and historical places, attending concerts, and quiet time with a good book. I also work as a professional musician, which helps me expand my love of music and the theory behind it.
