Since coming to the U.S. from China more than seven years ago, few of my experiences have been as interesting as meeting new students and helping to educate them through tutoring. I am currently working as a software engineer when I'm not tutoring. I began tutoring long before I came to the U.S., and while I was tutoring I quickly formulated a system of teaching that revolved around forming a close bond with my students and using my outgoing, respectful, and kind personality to foster a positive learning experience. I graduated from Northeastern University, and I spent much of my time there serving as a tutor. I was even spotted by a professor who thought I could use my teaching talents to help a particular middle school student in math and English. In addition to the Chinese language, I would say that math and English are definitely my specialties. Many Chinese-speaking students would benefit from tutoring sessions with a tutor that has a skill set like mine, because sometimes the language barrier can become a hindrance to the learning process. I am also more than happy to tutor students of all ages who want to learn the Chinese language, and if they have never spoken the language before, I can make learning this unique language fun and interesting.
