Education

I got my BS in Computer Science from Principia College, in Elsah, IL. It's a small liberal-arts school, so I feel like I got a very strong, well-rounded education. It focused not just on the academic, but also on character education, encouraging honesty and virtue in all our pursuits. I maintained above a 3.9 GPA.

Experience

I was a teacher's Assistant for 1.5 years, helping tutor students who had trouble with computer science and hardware engineering. I learned how to lead them to the right answer without actually telling them, so they felt like they'd figured it out by themselves. I also privately tutored in computer science and physics. I really enjoy tutoring and seeing people when struggle with a problem finally get it! I've taken AP Computer Science and tons of CS classes in college, as well as math classes through Linear algebra and multivariable calculus, so I feel qualified to tutor at a high level in either of these fields.

Hobbies

I was a camp counselor at a small Christian camp for 4 years, so I feel like I'm good with kids and their idiosyncrasies. I helped teach archery, horse-back riding, nature walks, etc, being on duty for 24 hours of the day. I enjoy guitar, piano, chess, and running in my free time, and I have a very relaxed, easy-going personality.
