Experience
My tutoring/ teaching experiences have been quite varied. Starting in high school, and the summer before college, I taught to groups of 4-7 students GCE 'A' level Economics (both macro and micro). At college, I taught Math from the 4th to 8th grade level to recent immigrant students as a mentor in a community service group. Beyond that, I have acted as a peer tutor in many courses to friends and mentees, from Multivariable Calculus and Partial Differential Equations, to teaching Intro Molecular Biology/ Genetics/ Evolutionary Biology concepts. I took Accounting, Maths (Applied and Pure), Physics, Chemistry, Biology (General and Human) and Economics in my GCE 'O' levels, and continued with Math, Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Economics in my GCE 'A' levels. In addition, as of late since graduating from college, I have tutored students on the SAT and helped them master tricks and techniques to completing questions quickly and accurately. I really enjoy teaching so that my students really understand the material and can eventually solve questions on their own. I find it really rewarding to see them discover their new found independence and confidence in their own abilities. Often it's a simple change from a slight bit of confusion in an earlier, more basic section of the material that leads to struggling in later parts in the course. On the flip side, I do find it disappointing when a student only wants answers without really caring to learn how to solve questions independently. I have been told by parents and students alike that I am very patient, and am excellent at figuring out where confusion lies. Few things give me as much of a feeling of great satisfaction as watching their looks of confusion be replaced by a lightbulb moment of “I finally get it.” I am available weekday evenings (5-9pm), and on Saturday and Sunday on a case by case basis. I should also be available during other times during the working week on a case by case basis, depending on my schedule. High school and college intro: , Math (Algebra, Calculus) , Physics, Chemistry (physical and organic), Biology (molecular, genetics), Accounting and Economics. Standardised tests (and my scores, and I can provide you evidence confirming them): SAT critical reading (800), math (800) SAT II Math I (800), Math II (800), Physics (800), Chemistry (800), Biology E/M (800 in the M exam when I took it) http://instaedu.com/online-tutors/Sarah-C-54510/#reviews A few reviews from my students: "Sarah was very patient and helpful. She explained things well and had several ways of putting things until I understood the method clearly. I would highly recommend her! " (Microeconomics) "Sarah was outstanding at identifying what I already knew building around that to teach me the topic. She also catered to me needs as a visual learner with plenty of diagrams and mnemonic devices. Highly recommended for Biology!" (SAT II Biology E/M) "AWESOME!! patient and willing to break down complex topics which makes the learning much more enjoyable. 2 thumbs up!" (Calculus - College Intro) "Sarah, was very patient in explaining the concepts I had difficulty grasping. She worked with me until I was able to apply them independently." (Microeconomics - College Intro)

Hobbies
My main hobbies are photography and fiction writing (primarily vignettes, I don't think I have the life experience to write a novel yet). They both involve taking pictures/ writing about reality such that you can have your audience see things in a different light.
