Northwestern University - BA, Classics and Legal Studies

I am studying at Northwestern University's Weinberg College of Arts and Sciences, where I will obtain my Bachelor of Arts in both Classics and Legal Studies (with my focus being on Latin), with a minor in Institutions. In my freshman year I became certified to teach the SAT and PSAT in either classroom or private settings. I also focused on Spanish and English essay writing, having experience with a large variety of students, from elementary to college levels in both a large classroom setting or a personal tutor capacity. My topics are varied, however my favorite subjects are all levels of Latin and standardized tests including the SAT, PSAT, and SSAT.While there can be frustration with these exams, I use a calm approach. My style of teaching involves guiding the student to solve the questions and not giving the answers, only encouraging the student to find the solutions themselves. This helps the students to develop more understanding on a deeper level. I focus on the student and getting them involved with learning.Other than teaching, my favorite activities are watching sports (my favorite team would be Boston), listening to music, playing sports, and philanthropy.
