Hobbies
-Music, playing or listening. I enjoy all types, and I enjoy occasionally jamming out on my guitar or drums. -Sports. I'm not the most well versed in this arena, but I'm about as passionate as the person who is. -Poetry. I dabbled in Spoken Word during my last year in high school. The senior class at my old high school (Framingham High School) has a spoken word competition every year. Almost everyone in the class participated (around 300 participants), and mine came out on top. Because of that, I qualified to perform with my school's poetry team in the poetry slam known as "Louder than a Bomb". I love poetry now. -History (ancient). Along with my fascination towards U.S. history, I am enrolled in a curriculum at Boston University's College of Arts and Studies that traces the development of human thought from early formations of science, philosophy, and the humanities to our current understandings. Great stuff, it explains a ton about how we live today. -Politics: my field of study. As a student of political science, and as a more passive observer growing up, it's slowly becoming more clear to me that this is what I love. The inherent broadness of the study forces me to strive for an even larger understanding of our political and social systems, which include everything from business relations to what's playing at the movies.
