Experience
My teaching and tutoring experience is centered around helping students improve their writing skills. Currently, I am working with a Harvard student, helping her with college-level writing assignments. It is my goal to provide a gentle and encouraging learning environment for my students. It brings me great joy to help a student by easing their anxiety and helping them to feel relaxed and confident about a subject. I have experience working with students ranging from kindergartners to high school seniors. In addition to personally enjoying writing and reading, I love teaching these subjects as well.I have worked professionally as an editor and have had success coaching students in the college essay application process. I attended Harvard, where I obtained a Master of Education. I am also a graduate of George Washington University, and have served as a teacher through Teach for America. Currently, I live in Yardley, PA and tutor the subjects of English, Reading, Writing, Essay Editing, Phonics, Literature, Grammar and Mechanics, GRE Test Prep, English as a Second Language, Social Sciences, and Psychology.Outside of tutoring, I enjoy gazing at the stars, astrophysics, catching up with Dr. Who, and watching movies.
