I am an engineering student who is passionate about education. I am especially interested in helping students feel confident in their mathematics and writing, because these are really useful, important tools that open many doors. I have tutored and taught many STEAM subjects: algebra, geometry and trigonometry, pre-calculus, calculus, statistics, physics and mechanics, biology, engineering, as well as teaching art, and tutoring students in writing and Spanish language. In high school I earned my International Baccalaureate Diploma and also took AP courses. I am familiar with these programs and their expectations for students. I also received the California Seal of Biliteracy for proficiency in Spanish and English. At Olin, I am pursuing skills that will help me design tools and environments for learning, especially for informal education and students who are not well-served by the traditional school setting. I hope that I will be able to create opportunities for access to learning that aren't currently available.
