Experience
I enjoy teaching Art History and immersing students in a subject which is likely unfamiliar. I also love European and American history. Having a genuine connection with students is so important. I am relaxed and patient, and my friendly manner makes students comfortable. I completed my undergraduate studies at Skidmore College. I had the pleasure of a multifaceted liberal arts curriculum and I think this is so important in education. I majored in Art History (and received a bachelor's) and took classes such as Psychology, Government, English, History, Classics, and Anthropology. I spent one amazing summer in Paris as part of the study abroad program. After graduation I went to London and earned a Master of Arts in Art History at the Courtauld Institute of Art. I am now working towards a Ph.D. in Renaissance Art at Boston University. I tutor all subjects, especially Art History, English, and History; I work mostly with elementary and middle school students. When I am not tutoring or studying I enjoy baking, rock climbing, scrapbooking, reading, and travel.
