Experience
After graduating from college with a bachelor's degree in chemistry, I enrolled in graduate school and received a master's in chemistry, an MD, and finally a PhD in biophysics. Over the course of my career as a student, I have also had the opportunity to help students study for a number of subjects. In addition, my academic career has taught me a lot of important lessons, like how to study effectively and properly manage my time. I enjoy working as a tutor because it gives me the change to share some of my wisdom and experience with people looking to better themselves both professionally and academically. I believe that the best way to learn something isn't by memorization, but rather by truly understanding how something works so that you apply your knowledge outside of the classroom. Along with chemistry and life sciences, I also have experience helping students prepare for standardized tests like the SAT, GRE, and MCAT. My goal as a teacher is to help students develop the same lifelong passion for learning that I have. When I'm not working in academia, I like to maintain an active lifestyle. My hobbies include traveling, bicycling, and playing sports like volleyball and soccer.
