Experience

This past June I completed my bachelor's degree in Physics. I find joy in figuring out how mathematical concepts apply to Physics, Economics, and even Computer Science. It is because of this enjoyment with that I was just two courses shy of having had a second major in Math. A little bit about my tutoring history, I gladly spent three years serving as a tutor for the physics department while attending Carleton College. I got to organize various sessions focusing on how to solve problems, how to improve one's technical writing, and, of course, assisted in putting mathematical concepts into perspective. I also have had the pleasure of tutoring/teaching people various other skills as well. Birch Rock Camp is where I have spent five of my summer breaks. Here I got to teach swimming, kayaking, canoeing, as well as giving a few tennis lessons. I have tutored middle school subjects all the way up to Quantum Mechanics. It is amazing to see how quickly a student's motivation can grow once they are able to understand how certain mathematical concepts are applied. In my free time, I love being outdoors, I perform stand-up comedy, and I also write poetry.
