Education

Bowdoin College - BA, Biochemistry

Experience

I attended Bowdoin College to earn my bachelor of arts in biochemistry. I also earned a psychology minor. I'm currently applying to medical schools. I've six years of experience as a tutor, working with high school level and middle school level students to help them learn math. My favorite subjects to tutor are geometry and trigonometry. I enjoy these particular subjects because of the opportunity to utilize so many visual tools to explain them. In my experience as a tutor, a lot of times utilizing multiple approaches to give students different perspectives is all it takes to help students understand the topic. I feel extremely fulfilled when students make progress and come to better understand math, and maybe even like it. When I have free time, I enjoy country music, concerts, movies, outdoor activities, reading murder mysteries, and spending time with friends eating food.
