I am a qualified and experienced English/Writing tutor who is very passionate about teaching, learning, and helping others. I have worked with children, high school and college students, and adults, and I feel comfortable working with individuals of all ages and backgrounds. I recently spent some time in Guatemala, where I participated in a language exchange program. I stayed with a family who helped teach me Spanish, and I helped to teach them English. This included spending one-on-one time tutoring both adults and children (ages 4-8). I also helped the father of the household (who was a teacher) organize and plan English lessons for his students. I am a proficient and accomplished writer, as well. I was an editor for the Consortium on Gender, Security, and Human Rights in 2009. In 2012, I was nominated for the Eckerd College Writing Excellence Award. I have been endorsed for my writing skills by many professors and organizations that I have written for, and I can provide numerous references upon request. I was a writer and editor for my school newspaper from 2005-2007.
