I never realized I had a love of biology until I went to college at Marymount Manhattan College, where I received my Bachelor of Science in Biology. After the completion of my degree there, I traveled to Denmark to study human and molecular biology at the University of Copenhagen.During my graduate school years, I performed a number of teaching-related duties, including assisting in the classroom, organizing seminars, and doing research. I was inspired to take a temporary position as an adjunct professor when I came back to the United States. While teaching in New York City, I have learned many new skills in the classroom. I have learned that teaching on an individual basis is much different than teaching in a group or classroom situation. Though biology is my focus, I am able to tutor students in many areas of science, including nutrition, physiology, chemistry, and genetics. I also can help students prepare for the MCAT.In my spare time, I enjoy drawing, painting, cooking, reading, practicing yoga, and taking walks.
