Experience
I have been fortunate enough to teach students of all ages a huge range of subjects, and it is the unpredictable nature of tutoring that has always kept me interested and ready to take on more students. I hold a bachelor's degree from Boston University, majoring in Biology with a focus on Ecology and Conservation. One of the things that made my time at Boston University so enjoyable was the fact that I was tutoring as a biology mentor in their Student to Student Mentorship program. On the other end of the age spectrum, I was lucky enough to work for over seven years as a teacher's assistant at a preschool and kindergarten facility that taught a fully licensed and approved curriculum. I taught kids from 6 weeks old all the way up to 6 years of age, and ensured that they had a solid foundation that would serve as a basis for proper learning techniques later in life. My specialty is science, most notably biology, although I am well-versed in many other scientific disciplines. Biology is one of those subjects that requires a fair amount of memorization, and I have a wide range of study techniques at my disposal to pass on to my students in this area. In my spare time, I love listening to music, practicing yoga, and kayaking.
