I graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Central University with a bachelor's in Biology, along with a minor in Philosophy as well as Jazz Studies. I began tutoring in an unofficial capacity during my high school years and have been doing so ever since. I enjoyed the role so much I started up a new program when I entered college, to tutor undergraduate students in science coursework. In addition, I volunteered to assist students in higher level classes who needed an extra boost. I am very keen on the sciences and the medical field and am adept at mentoring others in their understanding and appreciation of those subjects. I enjoy presenting material in whole concepts and showing how it all blends with the entire picture, making learning difficult subject matter a more seamless process. Once students are comfortable with the nuances of a subject, that confidence breeds success. My hobbies and interests include recording and playing jazz and other music, playing piano and bass guitar at area events, soccer, and tennis.
