I received my Bachelor of Science from Biology from Wake Forest University and my Master of Biomedical Science from The Commonwealth Medical College.As a student and as a tutor I have discovered the most effective learning environment is one which is fun. I share this with the students I tutor by learning more about them and what makes learning fun for them. Once I know what will spark their interest I develop our study plan based around that. Each student is unique and each tutoring session should be as well.I am passionate about science, Spanish, literature, writing, and English and am eager to focus on these areas with my students. Some of the specific courses I am available to help students with include Algebra 1 & 2, microbiology, physiology, Spanish 1-4, editing essays, literature, phonics, grammar and mechanics, essay writing, study skills and organization, special education, AP courses, genetics, biology, physical science, public speaking, and chemistry. I am also able to give students the skills they need to prepare for standardized tests such as the MCAT or SAT.When I am not tutoring I love being outdoors. I enjoy hiking, running, soccer, lacrosse, kayaking, surfing, and rock climbing.
