I have a Master Degree in Education from SUNY New Paltz, focusing on Environmental Studies. I have specialized training in Elementary Education, as well as Biology for high school students. My tutoring career started in 1999 and has included many Mathematical and Science courses. Although Math is not my first choice, it seems to be a subject that I can easily explain and break down for those who really struggle with it.The core grades that I enjoy working with are third graders all the way through seventh grade. These students are learning fundamental subjects that will make or break their learning experience in high school. I am familiar with using different techniques to educate students in a way that allows them to comprehend and retain those core subjects. It is important to me to work with our youth, and to provide them with tools to continue to learn and grow for the rest of their lives. There are so many different personalities in the world when it comes to learning, and it is crucial for an educator to understand this. It is my goal to provide an environment that encourages curiosity and discovery, so that the student gains a complete understanding of what they are learning.
