I went to Bowdoin College and earned my bachelor's degree in biochemistry and Eastern European and Eurasian studies, graduating cum laude and with honors for my research, along with a department prize in Russian. My tutoring experience began in high school, where I helped peers learn science topics, and I continued to mentor college students throughout my undergraduate career. I've also taught sailing, and I was on the college sailing team. I can tutor students in a wide array of subjects including biology, chemistry, and physics. My favorite subjects to tutor are microbiology and biochemistry. I can also help students prepare for the SAT, private school admissions exams like the SSAT and ISEE, the PSAT, the MCAT, and others. I love helping my students because I believe every student can learn and experience success in science, and every student can improve their scores on standardized tests. I love learning, and I love the subjects I've chosen to tutor. I want to help students understand why the concepts they are learning are important and how these concepts are used in the real world. This help students appreciate what they are learning and get motivated to find success. When I have free time, I like to do crafts, read, and sail. I also cheer for Boston sports teams.
