Education

Barnard College of Columbia University - BA, Classics - Latin and Greek , University of Michigan - MA, Latin

Experience

I have experience as a teacher for a charter school and as a member of Teach for America, and my goal is to help students learn better and achieve their goals. I currently teach Latin, and I understand how beneficial education can be. I attended Columbia University as an undergraduate, and I was able to graduate summa cum laude. I earned a fellowship to attend the University of Michigan for a master's degree in Latin. Greek and Latin are my tutoring specialties, but I'm also adept at helping students prepare for the GRE and SAT, and in particular the writing and reading sections. I love the subjects I teach, but I am more driven by the opportunity to help students achieve success. I've spent the past five years teaching at the college and secondary school levels, and these experiences have helped me develop effective teaching skills. I'm looking forward to helping students find success in their studies while challenging them to reach for ever higher goals. Outside of academics, I enjoy riding my bike, reading, journalism, and cooking.
