I am a Massachusetts certified chemistry and middle school math/science teacher and have taught at the middle and high school levels for the past three years. I love teaching, but my favorite type of instruction is individual. As a tutor I get to spend time getting to know how each individual student thinks and challenging (gently) their preconceived constructs. I have also been a technical instructor at the university level with a focus on intro bio and chem, biochemistry, and genetics. Throughout high school and college I tutored peers and younger students in math and science. I have done a lot of tutoring in chemistry and AP chem but have also taught elementary level math enrichment classes. I've spent over 7 summers working at science camps and believe strongly in enrichment outside of school as a stepping stone to success.
