Experience

2002: Tutored a 6th grader in math after school during my 8th grade year for 1 year. I've helped a friend's sister and nieces with homework and tutored over the course of 5 years; they're ages ranged from 5-16. Retained an A/B grade level in High school and a GPA above 3.6 at MCC from 2006 - 2012. Tested into Pre-Calculus II at MCC.

Hobbies

I've always been passionate about learning and get very enthusiastic about learning new things and love to see that in others. I love a variety of subjects, but the ones I'm strongest in are Art, Math, and Science. Subjects like Math and Science, that always have definite answers, are the easiest for me to teach; some students just need things explained the right way in order to retain the information. I've had to tweak my explanation for my best friend's nieces based on how they learn and they've always picked it up. I love to laugh, I feel that humor is probably the best way to break the ice, get out of an awkward situation, and to teach something. Everyone gets more comfortable after laughing. A little side note: as a student at MassArt living in the dorms, my only means of transportation are public transport. However, I am not new to Boston, so I'm very familiar with the system.
