Tutor experience - Belmont and Newton public HS students for Physics and Math. High School classroom teacher of Physics at Newton and Belmont Public Schools for 9 years. Teacher in Residence at Boston University. I want to be a tutor because I greatly enjoy the one on one communication and the ability this experience offers to personalize the instruction and really meet the needs of every student. Recent professional development includes courses in Special Relativity, Reading in the Content Area, 21st Century skills for the classroom. Recently presented talks and posters for American Association of Physics Teachers.

I continue to expand the science educaiton offerings for the Belmont community through the Belmont Cultural Council grant program. I endeavor to have students realize their strengths and capabilities in the quantitative sciences through supportive techniques designed to allow students to really answer their own questions. I am a parent of three school-aged children, ages 12, 14 and 16 (one recently completed AP Physics.) I am an active school parent volunteer for school enrichment programs and girl scout leader. Interested in making every student feel as if they can reach their academic goals.
