Experience
I have tutored for five students, some through my high school and some with family friends with children in middle school. I want to be a tutor because I know that there are countless different ways a student can learn and I know how it feels to be put down by the stereotypical methods of education. My parents found someone who taught me how to utilize my particular method of learning and helped me to be a successful student in a way I may not have been able to if someone didn't guide me. I have taken four AP classes, English Language, English Literature, US Government and World History. In my senior year I was awarded the English subject achievement medal for my writing throughout the year. When it comes to SAT prep, I would be most useful in history and english- mainly focusing on writing essays that are aesthetically pleasing but also stay true to what is asked by the exam.
