My background in teaching comes from lifelong experience helping my mother in the classroom (she served as a teacher with the Los Angeles Unified School District for over 20 years). More recent experience includes: --tutoring underprivileged high school students in the greater Los Angeles area -- mentoring students in the Science and Learning Resource Center at Santa Monica College (assisting with the writing of lab reports and the use of specific computer programs) --working with young people ages 18 and under at the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica in Pediatrics and the Pediatric Intensive Care (and experience which has made me comfortable working with students of all ages and a variety of physical and educational needs) Hopefully, with my help, reaching you or your student's academic goals can be fun and rewarding. :) I look forward to meeting you!
