Experience
I am a certified teacher in English Language Arts in Maine and Massachusetts, and I am passionate about helping students learn more successfully. As a teacher, I have helped countless students in grades 5-12 improve their reading, writing, and test-taking skills. Outside of the classroom, I have had significant success tutoring students for the Verbal and Writing sections of the SAT and both sections of the SSAT and ISEE tests. I also have worked extensively with English Language Learners, both as a classroom teacher and as a tutor. Ultimately, whether in a classroom or tutoring one-on-one, I tailor my approach to the meet the needs of each student. As a tutor, I pride myself on providing instruction that addresses a child's areas of academic improvement while supporting his or her learning style.
