Experience
Eli has been a tutor for students from 5th to 12th grade in the Boston area for six years, and tutored college students for two years before that. In mathematics, he has tutored everything from arithmetic and geometry through college-level calculus. He has also tutored middle and high school students in reading comprehension and writing. He regularly tutors students preparing for the SAT, the ACT, and all sections of the ISEE test. Much of Eli’s tutoring has aligned with his passion for social justice. He has three years of experience helping underserved Boston 8th graders apply for and enroll in selective high schools. He has also trained over 500 high school students to be tutors for younger children. Currently he tutors sixth graders, many of whom are first generation immigrants, to prepare for the ISEE with Steppingstone Academy in Boston. Eli’s passion is for working with students for whom school is a little too slow or a little too fast. A core component of his tutoring is the building of self-confidence and personal work ethic. Eli tutors at two locations in the Boston Area: On Thursday afternoons and evenings in downtown Boston, and on Sundays all day in Needham Heights.
