I would be a great tutor for any of the following: all periods of History, especially medieval European, all levels of French, including Old French, English Literature or Composition/Writing, and Beginning level Latin- specifically Post- Classical Latin. I am also quite knowledgable in the areas of Womens' Studies, Religious Studies and Italian. Also, if you need to hone your organizational or research skills, I am your girl! I want to be a tutor because I LOVE to teach. My enthusiasm, empathy and efficiency make me great at communicating what really matters to students.I am also non-judgemental and patient, which comes in handy when someone is really struggling with a concept. Hard work and perserverance are what matters to me most, both in my own work and that of those I teach. I have taught the following courses at the Catholic University of America, in addition to taking a Graduate level Teaching Methods course: Adjunct Instructor- History 387: Junior Seminar for History Majors- Fall 2009, Fall 2010. Hobbies
I am a great lover of theatre and am a graduate of the Studio Theatre acting Conservatory in Washington D.C. I also have had numerous jobs in the arts and customer service. Thus, a sense of fun, a deep appreciation for culture, and an interest in making genuine and diverse human connections informs all of my work. I also have been writing poetry since I was eight years old, so I have a true knack for working with words.
