Education

Graduated Emerson College in 2011 with a BFA in Writing, Literature, and Publishing, and a 3.9 GPA.

Experience

I have edited many stories, essays, and novels through my internship with the Rees Literary Agency and workshop classes in high school and college. I received a 5 on both English AP tests, a 5 on the US History AP test, and a 4 on the French AP test. I have taken many workshop classes in college, including introduction to fiction writing, intermediate fiction writing, advanced fiction writing, introduction to magazine writing, and intermediate nonfiction writing. I have taken a myriad of literature classes (at least one every semester of college), including Latin American Literature, The Art of Fiction, European Literature, and Multicultural Literature. I currently work for a literary agent in Boston, MA, and do a lot of editing of professional manuscripts. I also have worked at Perseus Books Group as a foreign rights intern, and have been writing weekly articles for The Suburban News in New Jersey since 2005. I'd like to tutor because I feel I can help young writers by using my experiences as a writer, an editor, and a former writing student. I also half-miss class, and although I can't go back at this point in time and take literature or writing classes, I can perhaps do some teaching to fill that void. ** NOTE ** I do not have a car; I use the bus and the T, and therefore am limited to locations only reachable by those means -- NOT commuter rail!
